Newsletter		 Amnesty International has had a presence in Orange County (California, USA) for over 20 years. The local groups have a close relationship with each other and often participate in the same events and social gatherings.

There are currently four local groups in Orange County:

  • Group 141, Orange
  • Group 175, Long Beach (technically Long Beach is not in Orange County but it’s just past the county border)
  • Group 178 Irvine
  • Group 596 Huntington Beach

All group meetings are open to the public. In addition it is always possible to start a new Amnesty International group. If you are interested in starting a group it is recommended to attend a few group meetings to get an idea of what local groups typically do. You can also contact the Amnesty International Office in Los Angeles, California to obtain information on how to start an Amnesty International local or student group.
