Who We Are
Local group 178 has been meeting in Irvine since 1979, fighting for human rights both locally and globally. Anyone is welcome to join our group. Please come to one of our meetings and find out about our work!

What We Do
Monthly Meetings
At our meetings we write letters, discuss current human rights business, plan our events, and will have guest speakers or show human rights documentaries.
We meet at the Irvine United Congregational Church in Plumer Hall (the building in the back), on the last Thursday of every month at 19:30 (7:30 P.M.).
Action File
Dr. Sa’adey of Syria
Our current prisoner case is Dr. Michel Sa’adey who was reportedly arrested or abducted in a street in Damascus by two plain clothes individuals and has not been heard from since.
Please help us show that he is not forgotten.
Newsletter
The groups publish a monthly newsletter available on our website.
May 2010
Due to unforeseen circumstances (our group leader is unavailable) we will not have a meeting in May, but check your e-mails for actions to take in May, and please be prepared for our meeting in June.
